How do I fix a bent chain link fence?
Minor bends in top rails can often be straightened in place. Larger bends usually mean rail replacement. Bent posts almost always need to be replaced or re-set, since bending stresses the concrete footing too.
Can chain link fence fabric be re-tensioned?
Yes. Loose or sagging chain link fabric can be re-stretched using tension bars and bands. This is one of the most common chain link repairs we do, and it typically brings a saggy fence back to looking new without replacement.
How do I replace a chain link fence post without removing the fence?
We remove the top rail and tension bar in that section, slide the fabric back, dig out the broken post and concrete footing, set the new post in fresh concrete, then re-tension the fabric and re-secure the top rail. The rest of the fence stays put.
Can you patch a small hole in chain link mesh?
Yes. Small holes and cuts can be patched with matching gauge fabric tied in place. Larger tears usually require replacing the entire section of fabric between two posts.
Do you repair commercial chain link fences?
Yes. Warehouses, construction sites, storage yards and industrial perimeters are a big part of what we do. We work with heavier gauge fabric, larger diameter posts and taller heights than residential.
Can rusted chain link fence be repaired?
Surface rust on galvanized fabric can be brushed and treated. Once rust has eaten through the metal, that section needs replacement. Vinyl-coated chain link resists rust better and lasts longer in Florida coastal humidity.
How long does chain link fence repair take?
Simple re-tensioning takes an hour or two. Post replacement takes half a day since concrete needs to set. Full section rebuilds run a day, depending on length.
